1888TechLine - thanks for your reply. There are certainly different types of security scans out there, some scan for malware only, some scan for performance issues, some scan for viruses and trojans. If they perfromed a diagnostic, they would have checked services , device config etc.
Maybe their scan was not designed for virus/trojan detection.
What concerns me is why someone like you who clearly spends a lot of time on this forum has a hacker tool installed on their virtual machine?
NanoCore has been linked to intrusions in at least 10 countries, including an attack on Middle Eastern energy firms in 2015, and a massive phishing campaign August 2016 in which the perpetrators posed as major oil and gas company. In march 2017 FBI arrested the guy who built this tool.
