Had this woman named Jessie Young call me from a "Managed Service Provider" wanting to reduce the costs of managing our IT resources. She was really persistent and setup a review call with one of their "specialists". Finally went into my SPAM filter and found her e-mail. Whole thing seems a bit sketchy, here is the content of the e-mail...

So the first thing that hit me is a link to an IP address, not a URL, dead giveaway that it is probably a scam.
The bit.ly link resolves to https://lendme.lpages.co/it-service-provider/ which appears to be very generic and contains no contact information other than a Contact Us form at the bottom of the page. In fact there doesn't even appear to be a company name anywhere.
A little digging reveals that the IP address is hosted in France but registered to a company in Hanoi, Vietnam, yet another red flag.
Everything about this place smells of something bad. I guess my first clue should have been the fact that her e-mail ended up in my SPAM box in the first place. I will have chat with their "specialist" next week and confront them about the questionable legitimacy of their "company" and see what happens. Will update this post once that call has taken place.
