"What is dis!?!"
Is a question forum administrators get when they aren't doing their job right. So, time to clear up some things!
We have a couple of tags you should use when posting a new discussion;
When posting a scammer number/link, use the Primary Tag "Scams". For general discussion, use "General Discussion". Posting General Discussion discussions under the Scams tag (and the other way around) may end up getting your account suspended!
We also have sub-tags, these are Secondary Tags you can use to further specify what kind of discussion you are starting.
For scams, make sure you include each of the following in a Secondary Tag
1. What kind of scam you are posting (Example: Tech Support Scam or Licence Key Scam)
2. If the discussion includes a Phone Number (Use the Phone Number tag)
3. If the discussion includes a Website Link (Use the Website Link tag)
If the scammer Phone Number you submitted is no longer accepting calls, and the website link you submitted is no longer viewable, you should replace the Phone Number/Website Link tag with the "Dead" tag.
For General Discussion, only use the Secondary Tags that apply to your discussion. Off-Topic is for non-scammer related talk only.
Not using secondary tags for the first couple of times won't get you in trouble, we'll just fix the tags for you. However, repeated misuse of tags can get you in the danger zone.
When you first sign up, you're just a normal member. Members can not post Scam discussions without needing approval from a moderator/admin. This means that, after you submit your discussion, it might take a little before others will be able to see your discussion. Once a staff member has confirmed your discussion, it will be made public.
Please do NOT contact staff about approval of your discussion. Your discussion will get approved as soon as staff has managed to take a look at it. Bugging staff about approval may cause you getting suspended when done repeatedly.
After your discussions have been approved for a couple of times, you may receive the "Verified" rank by an administrator. Verified Members can post discussions without needing staff approval. (However, staff can still remove your discussion if they think it violates our rules.)
Verified Members that help out a lot on scammer.info may get promoted to Helper when an admin feels they should be one. Helpers can help staff approve discussions from Unverified Members.
Please do not ask staff for ranks! You become Verified or a helper when we feel you should - end of discussion.
Thanks for reading guys, happy scambaiting!
