I've seen a few of these reported, where people get a text message - usually spoofed as coming from some wireless carrier - saying they had been getting overcharged; and for compensation, they are eligible to receive a new iPhone 11 for free. Then a URL is given to visit to redeem the phone.
Problem is, every time I bring up the URL, it results in a blank page. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Inspection of the page source turns up nothing either. I'm guessing it's a dynamic page and generated on the fly based on whatever browser/OS is being used, and it apparently doesn't like mine. Can anyone shed any light on these? All appear to be hosted on a5ev.info which was created just a few days ago and listed as being in Panama. The text message always seems to be the same, and just the URL changes. Here are a couple examples:
Warning: I have no idea what they do so follow with caution!
